Happy Family History Month!
Who likes to look at the old photo albums of your family and take a stroll down memory lane? We do! How many of us have lost photo albums and old family memories due to fire, water damage, moving, and other life events? We all did!
Photographs/documents of our past can help tell the story of our family history. They contain the breadcrumbs left behind by our ancestors, yet many of these memories sit in our basements, attics, or collect dust on an old table. As we learned from the last hurricane that devastated the County…these memories can easily be destroyed and lost forever.
Join us on Saturday, October 23rd at 2 pm at the Ossining Library's second floor Conference Room for a community scanning event. Preserve your family photos, documents, and essentially your family history. Volunteers will scan your family photos/documents while you wait, and provide you with a flash drive containing a high-resolution digital copy of your photos/documents.
Registration is Suggested, but Not required.
